Wisdom shows us the way to profound judgment in all areas of our lives. We should always go to God and ask to be led by his Spirit and not by our emotions that may lead us astray.

"Get wisdom, get understanding; forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Forsake her not, and she shall keep thee. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding." ~ Proverbs 4:5-7
Decisions, decisions...life is full of them. So how to we acquire the wisdom to make the best decisions in our daily lives? Many of us seek wisdom from others and use their opinions to help structure their thought process. But is this what God teaches us to do? No, it's not. He ask us to seek Him first not after our friend, mother, father or family member tells us what they think we should do.
In seeking wisdom our hearts and minds must be open to receive wisdom from God. We must go to God and ask that wisdom be given to us in abundance more than all things because when you have wisdom it will help you in every other area of your life. We must ask for our our ears be open to hear it and our hearts to be open to receive it. It is only by wisdom do we prosper in life. With wise counsel from God, we make better decisions and are thereby able to live our life with joy abundantly. God wants us to experience not just happiness but joy within us and all around us. When we seek wisdom from God, we seek his living word. It is in the scriptures that we are able to understand how to lead our lives. Let the works and word of Christ Jesus be the example of how to live your life according to His word. Let your praise to Him continually be on the lips of your mouth. For with wisdom, "thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased." Proverbs 9:11.
