Living a Life of Success

What does success look like to you? How do we become successful in the eyes of the Lord? We must first learn to walk by faith and not by sight.

"Keep this book of the law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."~Joshua 1:8

When we learn to trust God, He in return opens doors for us that we never even thought to knock on. He guides us and leads us in every aspect of our lives and He teaches us to keep His word on our lips daily so that we may always remember that it is not by us that we perform His good works but only by Him are all things possible.

Too many of us have learned to only go to God in times of trouble, but we must remember it is He that not only brings us through the storm, but also that brings the waves of joy into our lives. Success comes in many forms. The first thing that comes to many people's minds when we think of success is money, but success comes in many forms. Success to some is family, friends, love, happiness and living a stress-free life. For every person success may look different, but in all things it is only by God are these things attained in life. And this is why we must learn to put Him first. For true success is achieved by doing and knowing His word.

We must learn to honor God and give Him the glory first and foremost. Material things do not last, but God's love and glory does. When you put Him first, everything that our hearts desire will fall into place according to His word and His timing. If it is meant to be in our lives, it will come to pass. God wants ALL of you. Not parts of you. Mark 12:30 states, "And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment." And if you are obedient to His word, success will follow. Isaiah 1:19 states, "If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land. And... the joy of the lord will be your strength, as stated in Nehemiah 8:10. Make the decision to put Him first and watch your cup runneth over.
