Forgotten Words

"Split wood, and I am there. Lift up a rock, you will find me there"~ Gospel of Thomas

If your leaders say to you, "Look! The Kingdom is in the heavens!" Then the birds were there before you are. If they say the Kingdom is in the sea, then the fish will be there before you are. Rather the Kingdom is inside of you, and all around you."~ Gospel of Thomas

There are many books of the Bible that have been removed and have always been said to be very controversial however, I believe that these scriptures are ones that are of great importance in our daily lives. If you are like me, you may have been brought up in a church where you were taught that God can only be found in churches or only when 2 or more are gathered together. It is my belief that while these concepts are true, it also remains true that God is within us and all around us, in everything that we see.

The evidence which persuades this truth is in the simple fact that you are alive, a breathing human being with a beating heart and lungs. Everything around you has life and is composed of atoms. Scientifically it has been said that scientist are unable to determine the complete breakdown of atoms and their creation. I believe this is because this is the part where God resides which brings things to life.

Some might say that things or people that do bad things, unthinkable things, that God cannot be within them, but they are still a creation of God. The fact that do bad things does not mean that God does not live within them when He created them. We are all beautiful beings, created by the Almighty. If we could just all change the way we look at each other, knowing that He is our source and our strength and we were all created by Him, then maybe, just maybe, we would change how we interact with each other.

If we could see things through a different light, the way God intended, then maybe there would be less crime, less hatred, less chaos and more peace throughout the world. Each person is responsible for their actions and God is the only true judge that lies within the world. So for a moment of each day that God has graced you with the breath of life, think about this and try to exude the God within you to others. In turn, God exudes His mercy, grace and peace upon you.

" The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: 25 The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: 26 The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace."~ Numbers 6:24
