In the eye of the storm, all is quiet and peaceful but in the surroundings there is chaos. God says, " No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you or forsake you."~ Joshua 1:5
“...Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."~ Joshua 1:9
Life is hard, this we all know and some may know it all too well. What may seem hard for one person, may be someone else's everyday circumstance. God never said it would be easy, He said He would always be with us. He said He would carry us through any storm if we just placed our faith in Him.
When you think for a moment about a tornado, it happens for a period of time. It moves swiftly through the ground picking up everything around it and tosses it back out, wherever it may lay. In the eye of the storm, it is quiet, and it is peaceful despite what is occurring around it. Being in the eye of the storm, is what it is like when you are protected by God. You will feel the turbulence. You will see the chaos. Everything in your life may seem as though it is being wrecked, thrown around and put back in different places. You may feel confused, frustrated or even get upset. But in the midst of the clouds, in the center within you, if you can worship while you are going through, when you come out, you will see that God protected you. You will find that He covered you. See at times storms don't come to destroy our lives. Storms come to clear our old path, to make way for a new path. Sometimes storms come to rid ourselves of bad habits or thought processes. They allow us to change our perspective about life and come to realizations.
You see in everything that you go through in life you must learn to find the good. If you change the way you look at things, the things around you will in turn change. God may be trying to teach you to change the way you look at things in life or that it is now time do move into your purpose, but yet what we see in front of us, looks nothing like what we would have imagined. This is because we see with our natural eyes, but God transforms in the spirit realm that we cannot see. This is when we must learn to grow our faith and trust in Him knowing that what we went through was for our good.
In good times and in bad times, the worship for Him should never cease. We must learn to praise Him through our circumstances and in doing so our faith grows and in turn He takes us to new levels that we could never have reached without faith. Praise Him everyday, not just on special occasions or when good comes about, but because bad things that happen can bring about good as well. Let us never forget...
